MDIALYSIS CATHETERS
Our range of CE marked catheters can be placed in various tissues  (brain, muscle, liver, intraperitoneal space and subcutaneous tissue).
71 HIGH CUT OFF MICRODIALYSIS BOLT CATHETER
For sampling larger molecules in brain tissue.
The 71 High Cut Off Microdialysis Bolt Catheter is designed for implantation in brain tissue through the PTO 2L bolt kit from Raumedic or the IM3 Bolt Kit for 3 brain probes from Integra. The catheter has a 130 mm long shaft and a membrane length of 10 mm. The shaft has a reinforced stainless steel section measuring 16.5 mm in length. This reinforcement is located where the compression screw of the bolt is to be tightened.
71 HIGH CUT-OFF BRAIN MICRODIALYSIS CATHETER
Minimally invasive and designed for implantation in brain tissue.
The most important characteristic of the 71 High Cut-Off Brain Microdialysis Catheter is the dialysing membrane that allows diffusion of large molecules such as Cytokines. The membrane has a cut-off of around 100 000 Daltons. The catheter is available in different membrane lengths 10 mm, 20 mm or 30 mm suitable for different target areas in the brain. When implanting the catheter it is first tunnelated under the scalp. It is then easily introduced into the brain with help of a special forceps through a hole drilled in the skull bone.
70 BOLT MICRODIALYSIS CATHETER
For use in brain tissue (through an intracranial bolt).
The 70 Microdialysis Bolt Catheter is designed for implantation in brain tissue through the IM2 Bolt kit for 2 brain probes or the IM3 Bolt Kit for 3 brain probes from Integra. The catheter has a 130 mm long shaft and a membrane length of 10 mm. The shaft has a reinforced stainless steel section measuring 16.5 mm in length. This reinforcement is located where the compression screw of the bolt is to be tightened.
70 BRAIN MICRODIALYSIS CATHETER
For use in brain tissue (implantation during open surgery or through a burr hole).
The sterile single use 70 Microdialysis Catheter is a highly flexible catheter designed for implantation in brain tissue. A selection of 70 Microdialysis Catheters is available with different membrane and shaft lengths suitable for stereotaxical as well as manual implantation.
67 IV MD CATHETER
For blood or CSF monitoring up to 72 hours
The sterile single use 67 Intravenous Microdialysis Catheter is intended for continuous microdialysis monitoring in the peripheral venous system or in Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) e.g. via an External Ventricular Drain (EVD) for up to three days. The 67 IV Microdialysis Catheter allows energy related metabolites, drugs and other small substances to diffuse into the catheter reflecting accurate concentrations in the blood or CSF.Â
In blood monitoring the 67 IV Microdialysis Catheter is applied simply using a standard peripheral venous catheter and can be used intravenously for up to 72 hours of monitoring. The clean samples and possibility for frequent sampling without discomfort for the patient makes it ideal for clinical research. The catheter is available in 4 different versions of membrane and shaft lengths. In blood monitoring, recovery performance is optimized by using the type with 30 mm membrane at 0.3 μl/min flow rate.
66 LINEAR MICRODIALYSIS CATHETER
Linear catheter for use in skin, adipose and resting skeletal muscle tissue.
The 66 Linear Catheter is a minimally invasive sterile single use device intended for Microdialysis monitoring in skin, adipose or resting skeletal muscle tissue. It has a new robust design with a high performance membrane.
The catheter is available with 20,000 or 100,000 Daltons cut off membrane. The 66 Linear Catheter is suitable for many applications due to the linear design and the choice of low or high cut off membranes. It can be used for metabolic research, estimating the free fraction of a drug, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies or monitoring inflammatory processes in vivo.
62 MICRODIALYSIS CATHETER
For metabolic monitoring in the intra-peritoneal cavity following gastrointestinal surgery
The sterile, single use 62 Gastrointestinal Microdialysis Catheter is a unique device. It allows the continuous monitoring and detection of local changes in metabolism during and following gastrointestinal surgery.
The 62 Catheter has a shaft length of 180 mm with a 30 mm membrane. During open surgery the catheter is introduced through the abdominal wall into the intraperitoneal cavity with the help of a tunnelating needle. The catheter is placed freely in the intraperitoneal space close to the anastomosis and can be implanted for several days.
The dialysing membrane of the 62 Gastrointestinal Microdialysis Catheter is designed to achieve excellent diffusion characteristics, allowing a high recovery of substances from the intraperitoneal fluid.
The catheter inlet tubing is connected to a Microdialysis Pump and the outlet ends in a microvial which collects the sample. The samples can be analyzed in the ISCUSflex Microdialysis Analyzer for Glucose, Lactate, Pyruvate, Glycerol, Glutamate and Urea or sent to the laboratory for further investigations.
61 MICRODIALYSIS CATHETER
For postoperative monitoring of hepatic tissue after transplantation or resection.
The sterile, single use 61 Microdialysis Catheter and the 61 High Cut Off Microdialysis Catheter are intended to enable microdialysis in the hepatic tissue or in the intraperitoneal cavity.
The 61 MD catheter has a membrane with 20,000 Dalton cut off and the 61 High Cut Off MD Catheter has a 100,000 Dalton cut off membrane.
Both the 61 MD Catheter & 61 High Cut Off MD Catheter have a shaft length of 310 mm and a membrane length of 30 mm. The catheter is first introduced by the surgeon via a tunnelating needle through the abdominal wall during open surgery.
-When placed into the liver tissue it is achieved with the help of a splitable introducer and after insertion it is secured to the liver by sutures to the falciform ligament.
-For intraperitonally use it is placed free floating in the intraperitoneal cavity close to the intestinal anastomosis or the region of interest.
